TAKE MY MONEY: Big Timber Outdoor Fireplace
Hunting camps, outdoor relaxation (and perhaps a little power-outage insurance) …
It’s actually fairly rare that our friends over at the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) review a product, so when they do, we sit up and take notice. It also helps if the product in question would have saved us a lot of grief if we’d had it for the past season, and this Timber Stove from WoodPelletProducts.com is filling us with retroactive envy. Obviously, this isn’t an item that you can backpack out; this is more of a semi-permanent fixture for your hunting camp or backyard.
That said, these stoves pump out an amazing amount of heat for a remarkably tiny amount of fuel … and with advanced safety features, they reduce the risk of fire spreading to near zero. The NWTF reviewed the larger model, known as the Big Timber, but there’s one called the Little Timber that appears to be more or less the same thing (only smaller). I know which one I want …(prices are $849-$1,299) … do you?
